October 26 - November 3, 2006 Travel with Ellen Helming, WGM & Roger Dwyer, WGP to General Grand Session in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dear Eastern Star Members: It is once again time to start looking at next year’s bus trip of the Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron. They are looking at taking a bus or buses to the General Grand Session in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 26, 2006 thru November 3, 2006. This is a great time to take advantage of the closeness of this session. We will be taking a bus Friday October 27th for the members who need to be there for practice and return November 3rd. If we get enough people interested, we can even get another bus for the ones who want to go for a shorter time, just for the opening to the end of the session (Oct. 30, 2006 – Nov. 3, 2006). We are looking at two options, depending on the number of people interested in going. One option would be for a bus to start at Rapid City (cost approximately $100- $120 round trip). The other option would be for a bus to start at Vivian (cost approximately $80-$85 round trip) depending on the number of people interested from Rapid City area. If more people go, those prices may go down. Please pass this on to all of your members and contact me with which pick up point as soon as possible (no later than March 15, 2006) if you plan to go. If we get enough interested, we could even take two buses. Sister Jan Hadrick PGM is in charge of housing and has suggested two motels. These are on a first come first served basis. The sooner you get your information in, the better. You have to remember that other jurisdictions are coming and motels will fill up fast. The two motels we are looking at are the Hilton Minneapolis (headquarters hotel) and the Millennium Hotel Minneapolis. We will not have a bus to take you around; you would have to use a shuttle from the other hotels, which would be an additional cost. Lets give South Dakota a good showing. Fraternally,
