God took the pink of the evening sky, and the yellow from the sunset glow,
He took a wee bit of the Cardinal's wing, how much, only He could know.
He fashioned and wove with the greatest of care, and with drops of fragrance divine;
The rose came to my life by the Master's Hand, to brighten your heart and mine.
